1. athleisure pieces
I’ve been wearing more elevated athleisure pieces on work from home days that don’t have substantial meetings attached and/or errands and I’ve been on a quest for a mix of affordable and bougie quality.
I recently posted a series of Instagram Stories while wearing a zip up pullover style sweatshirt, which garnered attention in my DMs and has quickly become one of my favorite styles. I own this particular sweatshirt in two colors currently and like the long length version due to my long torso.
This jacket is similar to a more expensive version and fits and feels so nice. It also washes well and I love the cinched waist detail so you can have some body shape definition while wearing a layer that’s a nice weight. This runs true to size.
My age might be showing with this next pick, but I have absolutely zero time for socks that don’t last. I’m at the point where I’m willing to pay for socks that I can wear over and over for a few years without having to worry about getting holes.
These socks fit the bill 150% and I’ve already reordered twice in the past quarter.
2. moisturizer cream that truly hydrates and smooths
In honor of the Sephora Sale starting next Friday (4/4 for Rouge), I wanted to share this cream that helps even my desert-dry skin come back to life. I also notice more firmness in my skin after using it and it comes in a glass bottle that allows you to purchase refill pods for less waste.
3. comfy and washable flats you can wear everywhere
I’ve been wearing these flats to work on repeat lately and I don’t have to worry about the cream color because I can remove the insole and toss them in the wash when needed. I also love that the brand carries larger sizes in shoes and uses a signature thread made of recycled plastic bottles where possible. This style comes in several additional colors - I did size up .5 and mine fit perfectly.
reading
I’m still listening to the audiobook that I started last week - a thriller called Everyone Here is Lying. It’s getting really good but I’ve got about 40% left and hope to finish it this week.
Additionally, one of the books I put on hold at the library became available after months’ long wait, so I accepted the loan and read it quickly this weekend. The book was The Paradise Problem by Christina Lauren, which had a moderate amount of spice and was an easy read that I finished in under 24 hours. I rated it a 4 on Fable.
That’s it for this week’s edition of the weekly roundup — short and sweet! I’ll be back with more updates next week.
I’d love it if you subscribed to my substack and/or shared it with others who might like my content, too.
